This list is compiled by the ARRL DXCC desk and is based on the number of QSL cards received by them during the year. Over the past 2 years there has been activity from eleven of the above countries. Since it takes up to 2 years for cards to filter through the DXCC desk, this list will change drastically in the 2000 DXCC Year Book. BV9, A5, 7O, E3, VKØ/M, FRØ/G, 3CØ, ZL9, KH5K, SV/A & XZ will almost certainly move down a few spots, and with the addition of East Timor (4W6) and Chesterfield Islands (TXØ) to the DXCC list they may very well be near the top, Palestine (E4) was also added but there has been a great deal of activity from there and it’s unlikely to be in the top 20, it’s a pretty good bet that P5 and BS7 will still be 1 & 2 though.
